Sore spot on bottom of foot?

2mths ago a had a pair of slippers that had a hole ware threw on one foot. threw them away but still have a sore spot on the bottom of the foot where the hole was in my slipper.what is it and will it ever go away?its been like 8 or 10 weeks now and its still there. any ideas what it is please .thank you Karen
